A Long Sentence

Aurora said her longest sentence ever today. In the afternoon we drove Sister home to her place over the bridge. Aurora fell asleep along the way, and woke up when we were halfway back to Nanna & Goong-goong's house. 'Mama?' she said, surprised when she saw me driving. Then 'Mama, where did Aunty Nik-Nik go?' Six words in one sentence. Excellent!

The First Day of Daycare

Today was Aurora's first day of Daycare. Funnily enough, she is attending the same Daycare that my sister attended. Here she is in her new hat, plenty of sunscreen and all excited about meeting new friends. There were no tears, no hanging off Mama, nothing. She got out of the pushchair, ran off to play with toys, came back to give me a kiss and then it was 'Bye-bye Mama' and not a backward glance.

When I picked her up in the afternoon, I was told that she'd eaten all her sausages and rice for lunch, had a two hour sleep, and had eaten cheese and sultanas in the afternoon. There were no tears all day, no fights, she played very well with the other children and even drew a few pictures.

So now Tuesdays and Fridays when she attends Daycare, I know that she is in good hands, and I can spend some quality time with Flynn. After yoga, and after shopping, and after meditation :)
